How we all got here...

This site is made in the hopes of finding other Hills through out the world that we may be related to. We are interested in finding our Hill roots in Old England.  We can trace them through William John Hill who immigrated to the US from England in 1841 with his mother shortly after his father, James Hill, had died.  He was a passenger aboard a sailing ship that took him across the Atlantic and up the Mississippi to Navoo, Illinois.  He settled in Zarahemla, Iowa until persecution of the Saints drove the Mormons across the plains to Utah.  His mother remarried and built a homestead in North Ogden, Utah.
He had many children who had many of their own, but he knew little of his father or grandparents and subsequently, neither do we.
