I was born in 1957 in Vallejo, CA, & (later) lived in Canada for two years, 1976-1978. This is where I learned French, my second language. I studied French lit and Linguistics at BYU And now teach French for a living. I am interested in writing SciFi and in inventing languages. I collaborated with CJ Cherryh in the Hani, Kif, and Ragi languages, for fun, but have invented more than 15 others.
